How can community engagement help guide and identify important research? Join the Urban Institute for a conversation on its impact, with a focus on research released last year about the barriers people with disabilities experienced when trying to access health care.
This event will feature insights from Urban researchers and members of a community advisory board. It will highlight lessons learned and share how funders and researchers can benefit from supporting community advisory board partnerships.
At Urban, thanks to a partnership funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, community advisory board members have worked with researchers to incorporate health equity frameworks in projects, participated in research teams, and served as coauthors. They’ve influenced the identification, development, and execution of research focused on topics such as the implementation of postpartum Medicaid extensions; health organizations’ approaches to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and disability and health.
